Google Impact Challenge Bay Area

What's up with those posters with the dots around the park?

Good Question!

In support of the Google Impact Challenge: Bay Area, SoMa StrEat Food will be hosting four interactive posters throughout the park that allow guests to vote for which local nonprofits they think are most worth of a $500,00 grant from Google.

What is the Google Impact Challenge?

The Google Impact Challenge: Bay Area is a charitable project from Google, working together with local nonprofits to help build an even better Bay Area.

Google is giving $5 million to local profits. The top ten finalists have been chosen by a panel of local advisors: including Condoleezza Rice and Hunter Pence. Now the public gets to decide who gets the most funding.

Everyone gets four votes, for the four ideas that most inspire them. Voting closes October 20th. The top four projects will receive a $500,000 grant. The remaining six will receive a $250,000 grant.
